Find Out More about Pack 115 on Join Scouting Night, Sept 13th

We hope everyone had a great summer!

It has been a busy summer for Pack 115 with the Fishing Derby in June, Camp Oest and Camp Tomahawk in July, and we just wrapped up the Raingutter Regatta.

Interested in Scouting? Please join us on September 13th from 7-8pm in the Crofton Woods Elementary School cafeteria to learn all about Pack 115 and Cub Scouting. We have all sorts of activities for those new to Scouting to participate in this fall, from camping to a bike rodeo, and we look forward to meeting you. All of your children are welcomed, we will have some activities for them.

We hope to see many new faces there.

Welcome to Pack 115

Thank you for joining our great pack! We look forward to making sure your son has a great scouting experience. For those just joining the pack, here is some information to help get you started.

Our pack typically meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7pm at Crofton Woods Elementary School during the school year but that is subject to change. Please see our calendar for exact time, date and location.

The pack is comprised of many Dens. Each Den is around 5-10 boys. Depending on your sons grade level he will join a specific Den. The Den's meeting times will be different then the Pack meeting. Each Den has different meeting times and locations. We also have a Den calendar that is located here.

You will need to purchase a Blue or Khaki Cub Scout uniform shirt. The color of the uniform shirt depends on your sons grade level. The Blue uniform shirt will be worn the first three years of Cub Scouting (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade) so get it as big as you think your son will be by the 3rd grade. For 4th and 5th grade the boys wear the Khaki uniform shirts. These will also be their Boy Scout uniform shirt when they bridge.

Additionally purchase a handbook for your son that will be used throughout the scouting year. 1st graders need the Tiger book, Wolf book for 2nd graders, 3rd graders need a Bear book, 4th and 5th graders need a Webelos book.

Optional items are the uniform trousers and belt. The belt is useful for when your scout starts earning belt loops, it is highly recommended. You might also consider purchasing or making a red patch vest. There are limits on the number of patches and pins that can be worn on the uniform itself so the patch vest is a good way for your son to display them.

The Pack will provide the neckerchief and slide, Baltimore Area Council emblem, Unit numbers (115), den numeral when assigned, and World Scouting Crest. Rank badges and Progress Toward Ranks will be provided at the appropriate time.

There are at least two ways to obtain uniform and other scouting items; at a scout store or on the web.

Locally, the closest scout store is located on Dorsey Road near BWI.
